Orion followed swiftly, Blind Light kept pace with Black Star as they galloped down the path, with Oreo curled up in Orion's helmet.

Leroy shook his head. How naive. He had no idea that he could be killed by a passing arrow in moments without his helmet on. CCCRRRRAAAAACCCKKK! An arrow split on the side of Leroy's helmet. "ORION, DOWN! Black Star, HALT!" Leroy called. Black Star swerved sideways, kicking up dust. Leroy leapt off the horse, and flattened himself on the ground, just in time for another arrow to soar over his head. "Orion, I do believe we have entered the Dark Lands."

Oreo leapt out of the helmet and Orion put it on, his horse halted and Orion shot a bolt of fire at the direction the arrows where coming from, he was rewarded by a piercing cry.

"Aright, lets get out of here. Where there is one, there is usually more." Leroy leapt back onto Black Star. Then, Leroy heard a twang. And then another one, and another. One arrow bounced off Leroy's side, but the rest pierced Black Star. "NO!" Leroy cried, and shouted to Orion. "Orion, go on without me! I'll have to walk to safety!" Black Star fell to the ground. Leroy felt a tear come down his cheek. "Black Star...no!" Leroy went to the ground. Black Star neighed in pain. Leroy knew what to do. He drew out his sword, and stabbed one of his longest companions in the heart.

Oreo had leapt out and was in the undergrowth, slashing and biting at the archers. Orion drew his sword. " Nay, I don't leave companions behind." Orion sent Blind Light off and charged into the woods, coming out, wiping his blade, an arrow in the armor of his shoulder.

"Are they gon-" Leroy stopped, when he found an arrow stuck in a crack between armor plates on his neck. His eyes widened, and he fell down, arrow stuck firmly. Another hail of arrows (from the other side of the duo) came down on them, but no more made it to skin. Leroy felt himself blacking out, when he realized he could be dying. "Orion," he gasped, "if I don't come back, goodbye." It took a lot of energy to say that, and then he collapsed.

OOC: He is NOT dead. He is only unconscious. If you stop the bleeding and remove all parts of the arrow (not in that order) he should be fine.

Orion cast a wall of flame around them, all the arrows burned and melted. Orion carefully took off Leroy's helmet, chest plate and shoulder plate so he could see the arrow. Orion burned the entire wooden part and using a cloth, carefully took the arrow head out. He cleaned the wound, put some herbs he had in a pouch on the wound, and bandaged it carefully. Orion put Leroy on his back and he ran back to the fortress, leaving a trail of fire in his wake.

Leroy awoke to being jostled about on Orion's back. "Oh god, where am I...?" Leroy mumbled, but then slipped back out of consciousness.

Orion put Leroy in the fortress's infirmary, where he removed the bandaged and herbs and put the proper healing things. Orion took off all of Leroy's armor and put it on a chair.

Orion was gone, he had taken off his armor when he had entered the infirmary, so it wasn't him. He was in the kitchens getting some soup for Leroy.

Seeing the empty face hole in the armor, Leroy realized Orion had probably gone and would be back soon. A guardian never left his armor.

Orion came back, with a tray with a bowl of soup and a mug filled with a herbal tea. " Here you go Leroy, just rest for a few days and you should feel better." Orion then noticed that on the far end of the infirmary, there was a cloaked figure on the open window sill. A large javelin big and strong enough to to smash through stone. The figure launched the javelin, headed straight for Leroy's head. Orion jumpped in front of Leroy and took the shot in the center of his chest. He fell to his knees the figure still watching to see if Orion would die. Mustering all his strength, Orion stood up, the javelin protruding through his chest. He grabbed a spear from a rack and charged the figure. The figure was swift and had jumpped from the sill into the infirmary, blocking all the attacks with twin blades, walking backwards, getting closer to Leroy. Orion charged faster and flung the spear so hard that it smashed the blade in half and sent the figure flying across the room, to land his head onto his unsheathed sword. He fell down, gasped for air, and slipped into unconsioussness.

"Orion!" gasped Leroy. He tried to get up, but his limbs simply wouldn't let him. A voice came to Leroy. Leroy, call out! Get a nurse! Orion will be dead shortly if you do not help him! Leroy felt a little strange that there was a voice inside his head. But he obeyed nonetheless, and called. "HELP SOMEBODY HELP!" A nurse rushed in and found Orion. She was followed by at least 10 other infirmary staff members, and they carried Orion away to some unknown fate.

BIC- Orion's eyes flashed open, he was in a different room, on a bed, there was a trail of blood leading from Leroy's room to his from his wounds. He gasped as he lay there, close to death, yet close to living.

BIC- Orion could see the faces of several nurses and doctors over him, taking out the javelin carefully. As for the cloaked figure... He was decapitated by Orion's sword and his body lay in Leroy's room. Orion made no sound as they pulled out the javelin although he felt extreme pain. When the doctors and nurses had left, Orion sat up and looked at his chest. There was a hole, a big on infact, which was close to his right shoulder. He tried moving his arm, but he could barely move it. He groaned with pain and exhaustion and lay back down. " Hey Leroy. You there?" Orion asked, for he was in a room with a curtain seperating them.

Leroy was startled by this. He glanced at the curtain where the sound had come from. It's Orion, you paranoid fool! Shouted the voice. Hearing this, Leroy was able to calm down. "Orion, are you alright?" He whispered through the curtain.

" Aside from a large hole in my chest and probally disabillity in my right arm, I am okay." Orion had very strong endurance and could take damage right to the maximum, if a normal soldier had been pierced like he had, the soldier would have died clean off.

" Uhh Duh?" Orion replied, he pushed the wheels on the infirmary bed so that he went into Leroy's room. " Hello there Leroy." Orion looked at the window, there was another cloaked figure. " WHAAAAATTTT!!!" Orion yelled, staring at the figure. Another one landed from the roof, for they were on the highest floor. Orion waited a few seconds, there was the tweaking and creaking of wood and the wooden windowsill gave way, bringing the cloaked figures a five storey free fall rocky death from gravel and rocks and the bottom.

" Yup." Orion sighed and leaned back on the infirmary bed. " I think the blood lost is finally kicking in, I think I feel sleeppppppppp-" Orion fell asleep before he could finish the word.

Orion awoke almost a day later. " Arghhh where am I?" He asked a cloaked figure standing next to him, a sickle in his hand. " HELL!" He yelled out loud as he brought the sickle over his head and into Orion's heart. He screamed in pain for one second before his eyes clouded over, and he staggered up, only to collaspe to the floor.

Orion's eyes flicked open, and he saw he was on the floor of the infirmary, a stick was poking his chest. He rubbed his head and staggered back onto the bed. " Man... That was a weird dream." Suddenly, the cloaked figure appeared out of nowhere in front of him, the sickle in his hand. Orion, thinking this was another dream smiled and said. " Where am I?" The cloaked figure raised the sickle. " HELL!" And brought it down, but Orion shifted and in stabbed into his shoulder, shards of pain flew up his arm, and he screamed in pain. The cloaked figure, supprised he had missed, withdrew the sickle. " I AM THE BRINGER OF DEATH, I SHALL KILL YOU!!!" He charged again, But Orion kicked the figure right in the face, pushing off the hood. The face... It looked so familiar, yet so distant.

Then, it was then that he realised, he was only half human. The figure was his father, who was half dead. Half of his body was skeleton and the other side normal. Orion stared right into his fathers eyes. He raised the sickle again and brought it down. Yet Orion stood still, as the sickle went through his heart. He fell to his knees, and then to the ground.
