Quest: The Final Frontier

[Leroy Ridran]

Location(s): The Shore, The Southern Sea
Short Description: Sail away into the Southern Sea with famed adventurer Leroy Ridran.
Roles: Sailors, carpenters (to fix the ship) and warriors (to fight off any monsters that we encounter).

The Sea. The Final Frontier. Leroy Ridran had always wanted to sail away on a ship with golden sails, away, over the horizon. Unfortunately, he would have to settle for the small, nearly sunk wreck of a boat that he had found deserted on the shore. He did wish though that he could have some help sailing in it. But better go one step at a time. Leroy needed a working boat first!

[Orion Flame-eye]

Orion walked along the beach, looking at the figure about half a kilometer away with what looked like a messed up boat. Orion walked up to Leroy. " Hello Leroy, need help with this boat?" Orion asked as he pushed a plank on the boat and it fell.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Why yes, yes I do. I am trying to get it sea worthy, and then I plan to sail away into the Southern Sea on a wonderful journey. Pray tell, d you wish to come along?"

[Orion Flame-eye]

" Yes, I've never sailed before, but it should be a good experience." Orion took a hammer and a pouchful of nails from his belt. " I'll fix up all these loose boards." Orion told Leroy as he nailed the planks into their places.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Why thank you. It will be a great experience for you. I shall get to work as well." Leroy went off and began plugging holes with some paste. The paste dried, and hardened. It seemed water tight. Leroy hoped...

[Orion Flame-eye]

"I'll be right back, I left a pile of planks over in the forest." Orion told Leroy and quickly ran into the forest to retrieve his wood.

OOC- Orion's a carpenter, I changed it from assasin to carpenter.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Ah! Good! I got a hard worker to work for me..." Leroy said, as he repaired the steering wheel.

[Orion Flame-eye]

OOC- lol steering wheel sounds like a car.
BIC- Orion dropped about thirty planks he had been carrying on a single shoulder onto the sand. He then took out a measuring rope and measured the size and amount of planks they would need. Orion ran off back into the forest and brought back his tools. Grabbing the saw he cut the wood and replaced old rotted ones off the boat.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Why, your quite an industrious little fellow, aren't you!" Leroy shouted to Orion.

[Orion Flame-eye]

" Yep, I spent about fivehours in that forest cutting down trees and making them into the planks." Orion told Leroy as he hammered another plank into the wood.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Well, all the methods of navigation an steering are in order. Now, since you seem to have taken charge, what do you need help with?" Leroy said, saying one of the only humble things he has ever uttered.

[Orion Flame-eye]

" I don't have any sail canvas to repair the sail. Could you do that and while you are doing that, mind going in the forest to find a big tree for a mast?" Orion tapped the rotten mast with his hammer and the top dropped on him. He caughted it before it hit his head and dropped it on the sand. " The whole boat is rotten.." Orion finally finished with the planks.

OOC- What kind of boat is this? One with the cabins or just one of those small ones with no rooms?

[Leroy Ridran]

OOC: It has a few cabins...
"Alright." Leroy walks into the forest, and finds a nice tree. He then gets a running start. "Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!!!" He cried, and ran at the tree, head first. The tree cracked, and fell. He lifted it with ease, and carried it out of the forest. "I have the mast!"

[Orion Flame-eye]

Orion heard something like a war cry and the thudding of wood against a head and then a loud crash, followed by Leroy running through the sand to him. " Did you make all that noise?" Orion asked as he exitted the cabin he was checking. " The cabins are all ship shape."

[Leroy Ridran]

"I shall pardon the pun. And yes. That was me. Now what? Oh yes, the sail. What do you suggest doing for that?" Leroy asked.

[Orion Flame-eye]

" At the end of the road, there should be a cart filled with canvas and cloth." Orion said as he pointed to the top of a hill. He continued testing the wood all around to make sure nothing was broken.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Alright." Leroy walked off down the path, and reach the cart. he tied a rope to the cart, and then tied the other end around his waist. He walked forward, and brought the cart back to the ship.

[Draylon Redtip]

Draylon saw Leroy walking to the ship. He approached, cautiously. "Hello, Leroy. Pray tell, what is loaded within yonder cart?" He asked, eyes gleaming as much as his concealed dagger.

[Leroy Ridran]

"I am taking materials to build a great sail for yonder ship." Leroy said, as he nods toward the ship, off at the coastline. He continues tugging the cart along.

[Orion Flame-eye]

Orion waves when he sees Draylon next to Leroy. " Hi Draylon." Orion said as he grabbed the canvas off the cart and onto the deck of the ship. He then started stiching all the canvas and cloth together.

[Leroy Ridran]

"You really are an industrious fellow." Leroy said for the umpteenth time. He nodded his head in satisfaction.

[Draylon Redtip]

"I see. Might I ask, where art thou sailing to with the fore-mentioned vessel?" Draylon said, the glint leaving his eyes.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Why, we are headed on an exploration journey into the Southern Sea. Would you like to come along newcomer?"

[Draylon Redtip]

"Indeed I would, kind sire." Draylon said, and approached the boat. He sheathed his dagger, keeping it fresh for "other" activities he might happen to engage himself in. He smiled, and the glint returned.

[Leroy Ridran]

"Good. Then get to work. We are making sure this ship is ship shape." Leroy said, and helped Orion with the sail.
